Ok, this is pretty straight talk. But I just want to be 100% up-front with you. That way, you know what to expect from me. And I know what to expect from you. I figure it’s better that way.

I am retired. We are needing to sell our place and re-locate. I am not ready to begin a new business of any kind at this time.
The good news is that you shaved off that nasty looking beard.Nothing against beards as I’m a bearded man myself,just ones that are unkempt looking.

Hey Dan,
I have my own successful business, started from scratch, but its less than ideal. Even though it provides me with a comfortable income, it requires my attention every single working day. Only time I can take off is during our annual builders’ holiday. Most people with an average job has more flexibility than that! Frankly I am tired, and would like to be able to take a holiday any time of the year, or go hunting, or take a fishing trip with friends etc…
I’ll be interested in what you have to teach in your upcoming course…keep up the good work and God bless!!
Dan, what you are saying is Very exciting for me. I am that old 65 yr. old man that has worked all my life and had to spend all of my savings to take care of my Mother and Myself. What a blessing it was to have my mother for 96 years. She passed away in Oct. of last year. My problem is that, besides being Disdable, I have had to spend almost all of my retiremant savings on Taking care of my Mother and myself over the last several years. Like you say I have tryed several Internet programs only to find out that they Don’t work. My latest vinture is spending $3.95 S&H for the “Googlerevolution”. I would rather have your program than anything else. But because Money is so tight I have to try to save all that I can.
There are several things that you have Done that I really do Like. I believe that you are a Very Generious Person, and I think that you have good Family and Personal Standards and I think You are a Learned Person whitch is trying to Help other People, as well as Makeing Money and taking Care of Youself and Family. You are a Southern Man (I live in AlaBAMA and have relatives that live in Franklin Tn)and You Play the Guitar, as I do,and I really need your Guitar Coarses because I am stuck with my progress and I really Love the Guitar. But that is something else that I would like to get from you because I really need it. With those Qualifications, I am thinking really Seriously about Buying Your Program when it comes out. I don’t know about this Google thing but they say that they will be there to see me thru everything form building a Website to using the Adsense to generate hits and therefore start producing Money Which I need so Desparestly Need.
My logic is that if I have to spend any more money I would rather spend it with You than Google.
With All that said, I will tell you that you have a Typo in your Wellcome statement.

I think your course is something worth looking into. I’ve purchased a couple of your courses in the past and I must say that you only put together top of the line quality stuff. You are no doubt an honest caring person who’s not out to rip people off. You are one of the very few people out there that can be trusted. As we all know how important trust is. I have nothing but the greatest respect for you and I’m looking forward to tapping into your knowledge.

I’m glad you are putting this information together. I know from experience that it takes a lot more work than people realize to put one’s experience into a format that other people can use. I think you’ve done a great job in the past presenting practical and understandable guitar courses that cut to the chase, which I’ve bought and enjoyed even though I have no plans to be a professional guitar player. Henry Ford once said that you’re only old when you stop learning.

I thought you were a guitar teacher. This kind of feels like when a friend joins Amway or Herbalife, all of a sudden they go from being my friend to always pestering me to join or buy something. Have you become Financially Secure with your Internet business? It seems that all of the “Guitar Lesson” websites all have several things in common. 1. You’re always launching a AMAZING New Lesson Series, 2. The supplies are limited so “BUY TODAY” 3. Some how the website went down just before launch and now I can get the video’s even cheaper, 4. The production and information in the videos are subpar. Not just from you but from Claude Johnson, Will Landrum and Andrew Koblick. All of the Sales Pitches are basically the same leading me to believe that you guys are all somehow inter related. I think you should consider pouring more of your energies into your MAIN internet source of income GUITAR LESSONS. Take those two days a week that you try to hawk other products and put it into producing a professional and INTERESTING Guitar Teaching system, possibly scripting your presentation in advance and practicing it until it’s smooth so when I buy it and try to gain some knowledge from it, there is a logical flow instead of rambling and moving off point.

We all have been scammed, but also truthfully, I think many of us, me included, may have not followed the programs through to the end. Not sure if it was because of lack of interest, or just not being able to understand because we were new to this business. I am working at this everyday. This is my “business”, my business is to learn how to build this business to support my husband and myself. I think that woman need to know that if anything ever happens, just like what happend to your very young father Dan, that we can take care of ourselves and our children, if necessary. This is important for our self confidence and our self preservation. So, Dan, take your time, put the program together, and get it to us. Because there are many of us that really do believe in you, and believe that you are putting together your best program for us, so that we can become successful and lead better lives. Thanks Dan, personally, I’m proud of what you are doing, and I bet your Mom is too

I don’t think you “Shot Your Limit” I just think you need to focus on what brings in the most income and what you do best.
Rick, thanks for you comment. This is a GREAT question… “How much does it cost to start and internet business?”
I hear other people say that you can start a business for less than $100.
That’s TRUE in one sense. For example web site hosting only costs $15/mo. You can buy your domain name for $5 (one time fee). You sign up for an email hosting service for $20/mo. And, YES you’ve got a website.
BUT…
Now you need to get visitors to your website AND you need to learn how to market the products/services you’re selling.
THIS is where the money comes in.
To buy advertising you’re going to need a credit/debit card because Google and Yahoo require it. They charge your card once they deliver the clicks (visitors). You MUST track each visitor (this is done automatically for you in their system) to see if you are MAKING or LOSING money.
If you’re making money, GREAT! Just up your budget.
If you’re LOSING money, then you have to shut down the loser ads and keep the profitable ones going (if there are any).
You can control your daily advertising budget within your Google/Yahoo account.
But normally you can start with $50 a day. You will NOT usually hit that number at first because there may not be enough people searching for what you’re selling.
But the #1 thing to consider is that the MOST successful people I know online SPEND MONEY on 1) advertising and 2) their education.
I spend about $1000 a month on new learning materials so I can stay “ahead of the curve” and keep up with new trends and techniques.
The whole budget thing really depends on how FAST you want to grow.
Some people are natural risk takers. Some aren’t. So you have to know your risk-tolerance.
I realize that’s not an easy answer or a nice, round number. But it’s the truth.

Regarding negative comments on multiple offers from Dan – I don’t know about you all, but when I was working, I went to work every day sometimes doing different projects for the company. Why should Dan be any different? He is straight forward – never has he tried to sneak into my home under false pretenses like some sales companies then pull a bait and switch tactic. He enters as a gentleman open and honest. I have found that Dan’s business is not so much guitar secrets or money making information, but I have learned that Dan’s real business is that of making our lives better in whatever way he can help us. Finding a need and filling it. For some of us it’s learning to play the guitar, for others it’s learning lead, for others the Blues, for others having our own business so we can spend more time with our family or more time on the guitar playing lead or blues or entertaining our grandchildren… Thanks Dan.

its now 2012! Dan started selling this in 2009 and I see the blog is dead. How is everyone doing with their internet business? I am very interested in this. Is it still a good time to start an internet business?
